The #ACRoadtoTokyo starts now
Tokyo 2020 is less than two years away, now is a great time to start to meet some of the new faces on the scene looking to make their mark in Tokyo while getting reacquainted with some of the familiar faces in the sport. On Wednesday, Nov. 7, visit AthleticsCanada.TV as we officially kick-off the #ACRoadtoTokyo with 13 short videos featuring some of the biggest names in the sport. “Heading into Rio 2016, we gave fans the opportunity to get to know a number of athletes with the #ACRoadtoRio Series,” said Athletics Canada’s Chief Operating Officer Mathieu Gentès. “The mini-series proved to be a huge success with the rapid growth of AthleticsCanada.TV and the love affair we saw develop between athletes and fans across Canada throughout the Games. We’re taking it one-step further by introducing you to a new generation of stars, such as Rachel Cliff and Jared Kerr, while telling deeper and more meaningful stories of those you already know and love, such as Andre De Grasse and Alysha Newman.” The #ACRoadtoTokyo kicks off tomorrow on AthleticsCanada.TV with distance runner Gabriela Stafford.
The first round of videos will run between Nov. 7 and Feb. 19 with more to come later in 2019 and into 2020.
Viewers will also be able to tune in to AthleticsCanada.tv Saturday, Nov. 24, when distance runners from across Canada hit the trail in Kingston, Ont., at the 2018 Canadian Cross Country Championships. 2019 AthleticsCanada.TV broadcast schedule
