Aimee Pratt lowered her own British record in the 3,000-meter steeplechase by clocking 9:15.64 to secure seventh place in the World Athletics Championships at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore. Pratt, who achieved the best finish by a British athlete in a World steeplechase final, had run 9:18.91 in her July 16 qualifying race to advance to the final.
