Kenya's Faith Kipyegon won the gold medal in the women's 1,500 meters by running 3:52.96 for her second world title to go along with two Olympic gold medals in the event, and Great Britain's Laura Muir achieved the bronze medal after taking silver in Tokyo last summer. Muir ran 3:55.28 and finished behind Ethiopia's Gudaf Tsegay, who took silver with 3:54.52.
