Gamecocks Ready To Compete at IAAF World Championships Aug. 14, 2009 COLUMBIA, S.C. - As a contingent of eight current and former South Carolina Gamecocks - including rising junior Johnny Dutch - prepare to compete at the 12th IAAF World Championships held at Olympiastadion in Berlin, Germany, GamecocksOnline.com will continue to provide daily performance updates and photos taken by the athletes themselves. In preparation for the championships, Universal Sports has released its medal predictions and it is no surprise that a handful of Gamecocks are favored to collect gold, silver and bronze hardware while in Berlin. On the men's side, Gamecock Hall of Fame member Terrence Trammell is predicted to repeat as a silver medalist in the 110-meter hurdles after missing out on gold in 2007 by four-thousandths of a second. South Carolina rising junior Johnny Dutch is predicted to earn bronze medal honors as part of a Team USA sweep in the 400-meter hurdles in his first meet as a member of the full national team.
