España ready to challenge for World Championships honours | 21.08.2011 Spain’s Jesus España has an outstanding pedigree over 5000m, winning the 2006 European title and getting the silver medal over the same distance behind Great Britain’s Mo Farah at the 2010 European Athletics Championships last summer. Now, after being a finallist at the last two World Championships and also getting fourth over 3000m at the 2003 World Indoor Championships, he believes that the forthcoming 2011 IAAF World Championships offers the best chance ever of him getting a medal on the global stage. Adding to his belief, with his notoriously fast finish over the final 200m as a very dangerous weapon in his armoury, is the fact that he has clocked two personal bests in the last five weeks, culminating in the 13:04.73 at the Samsung Diamond League meeting in Monaco last month.
