Cheruiyot running for double gold

World 5, 000m champion Vivian Cheruiyot sounded confident stating that the 12-lap race will be hers to lose at the premier track and field competition in Daegu, South Korea.

Cheruiyot’s spat is likely to ignite a new war of words with rivals Ethiopian athletes who have always stood out as Kenya’s biggest challengers at international events. 

In fact Cheruiyot is taking the bulls by the horns after she declared she is fit to double up in both 10,000m and 5,000m races.
