Locals in race for 2012 GamesTrio to compete in South KoreaThe 2012 Olympic Games in London, England, are less than a year away and three athletes with local ties continue to inch their way closer to a spot on Canada's team. Decathlete Jamie Adjetey-Nelson, javelin thrower Scott Russell and 800-metre specialist Andrew Ellerton were named to Canada's 32-member team Thursday for the 13th World Track and Field Championships, which run Aug. 27 to Sept. 4 in Daegu, South Korea. "This is the biggest meet of the year and the biggest meet of my life right now," said the 27-year-old Adjetey-Nelson, who is a University of Windsor and St. Joseph high school grad.
