Liu Xiang seeks to recapture golden form in Daegu

Asia’s best sprinter Liu Xiang is hoping to show his best at the World Athletics Championships in Daegu, as the former 110-meter hurdles world record holder seems to have fully recovered from injury.
The 2004 Athens Olympics gold medalist has had contrasting performances. He left the track for no apparent reason in front of home fans in the 2008 Beijing Summer Games but bounced back this year by winning the Shanghai Golden Grand Prix in May.
The Chinese hurdler began to shine in 2001 and was relentless through 2008, setting a world record, becoming the Olympic champion in 2004 and 2007 world championships.
