On the sixth and final attempt of the men's shot put final, Ryan Crouser of the United States set a championship meet record with a mark of 77-1.75 (23.51m) to win another world title at the World Athletics Outdoor Championships at National Athletics Centre in Budapest, Hungary. Crouser entered the World Championships with two blood clots in his left leg and was unsure if he would be able to compete after his diagnosis.
